I've always heard that there are (2) Rules in Business -
Rule #1: The customer is ALWAYS right! Rule
#2: When the customer is WRONG - refer to Rule #1
It has been my experience that these rules are an absolute not only in business, but in all walks of life: personal, social & professional! It is how you treat those you come in contact with daily that matters and shows what is important to you and whether you receive respect or disdain.
I value and cherish the integrity and respect I build with those I reach each day! I build relationships with those who allow it...and those who don't. Folks can trust that what I say I will do! This is a rule I live by each day.
I have worked for companies where the management adheres to the above rules, where customers respected the business and those of us who worked there. What fun it was to go to work each day! These businesses flourished because the ownership valued not only the customers but the employees as well! Sales continued to grow year after year because of the integrity of the company...we built trust with the customer.
I look to continue to work for companies that value the customer above all else and adhere to the rules above as I do.
